Crag features
Approximately 50m to the east of the infamous "Oxford Boulder" lies a striking granite block, perhaps the only semi-natural rock to climb in Oxford? The motivation for installing the rock is unknown, but it offers technical and slopey highball boulder problems - pads are an absolute must and spotters are thoroughly recommended for the descents! Consider bringing a sling to set up a top-rope for the descent. Currently the eastern side and top of the block are very mossy, so watch out. The block can also occasionally be dirty from graffiti and who knows what else(!).
Also keep an eye on your valuables, the kids that hang out in the park aren't always the friendliest.
Approach notes
Parking may be an issue when the football is on, but generally isn't a problem. There are plenty of residential roads to park on next to the park.
Access Advice
There doesn't seem to be any rules against climbing the block, but please be respectful to other users of the park and be sure to not leave any chalk marks.
