Crag features

Houndkirk Tor is situated to the east (Sheffield side) of Burbage and has two small bouldering locations. Neither is very significant but both are worth a look if you are in the area. Houndkirk Tor (False) has a small north-facing edge with a few decent blocks. Houndkirk Tor (Proper) includes the brilliant roof problem, Made in Sheffield. There isn't much scope for more problems beyond those detailed here.

Approach notes

By far the easiest approach is to park in the layby on the A625 just up from where it is joined by Whitelow Lane. Walk back down the road about 50m and go through the gate immediately opposite the junction with Whitelow Lane, then follow the path up to a stone pole at the crest of the moor (10 minutes). Head right to reach Made in Sheffield in approximately five minutes; head left for everything else, which is reached in about 10 minutes along a good path that takes you above the crag.

Should be named Houndkirk Tor (false) not HoundSkirk Tor. The Houndkirk Tor is a bit further east

Nice little bouldering venue, off the beaten track but worth a visit if only to do "....and tigger too" on the Buried Boomerang Boulder.
