Crag features

Various climbs around the city centre and outlying areas from V0-V8. A full guide is available here: https://drive.google.com/. A possible circuit which includes a number of classics is described below.

Start with a warm up at the train station long stay car park with the various problems in the Framed area.
Next, head down and under the bridge before crossing the road. Walk through the small housing estate to the far end (can tick Grit Bin and Local Boss while passing), and head up the steps leading to a small seating area containing the magnificent and unlikely route The Auburn Sentinel.

With a renewed appreciation for life, head back down the steps and cross the bridge for a play on Whitley Bay Hand Jam Practise and Byker Grove Supporting Artist.
When you're ready for your next battle, head to the bottom of the hill, cross the road twice to get to the far side of the roundabout, and cross the bridge. Take the first left and soon you will be under the imposing perfect chimney of Dibnah Direct.
Next, continue walking and head down a large set of stairs on the left leading down to the passport office - the classic Kebab Corner is just around the corner on the left.
Triple Mantel is nearby and worth seeking out if you like easy highballs.

From here you can head out along the river seeking out classics such as Boat House Dyno, Diagonalley Arete and La Honnold.
