For sure the more wild spot in Normandy. The crag has many sectors and the ones that stay more in the shadows are often covered with moss and dead leafs. It has been recently cleaned a bit in 2017 but I found it still rather dirty. The routes are protected with bolts (sometimes a little bit too spaced to feel very confrtable) and old pitons, the belay are good and provided of a chain and a belaying ring. Some 5/5+ routes are rather physically and mentally demanding but sending those routes give a lot of satisfaction. More than a traditional sporting crags it is more a training crag for alpine routes considering the high mental stress (in many cases a fall will not be without consequencesl!). The rock is similar to the one found at Mortain or La Fosse Arthur (Grès armoricaine) but a little bit smoother.
From the parking in the forest (there are several indications, just follow "La Brèche au Diable). The sectors are mostly on the right side of a small river that flow few meters from the parking. The old guidebook with all the indications is now impossible to find but it is possible to find it online searching "Escalade La Brèche au Diable".
