White Wall at Saints Bay © jimaye04

Crag features

The routes at Saints Bay are spread over two areas; the promontories west of Saints Bay Harbour and the east side of Saints Bay itself.

Approach notes

For the promontories west of Saints Bay Harbour, take the cliff path that runs up behind the memorial stone in the carpark. Follow the cliff path up steps and past a bench to an old battery site. A path leads down from the old battery site to the top of the first promontory (Small Cliff). Scramble down the side of the first promontory and across the gullies to reach the second promontory (Main Cliff).

For the routes on the east side of Saints Bay itself, once parked by Saints Bay Harbour follow the road back up past the Martello Tower to the road junction. From here, follow the cliff path round the east side of Saints Bay.  Where the cliff path turns towards Le Harve de Bon Port and Moulin Huet, a track cuts down through the undergrowth to two short walls; White Wall and The Rabbit’s Ears.

Alternatively, if the tide is low enough, cut across Saints Bay from Saints Bay Harbour to reach White Wall and The Rabbit’s Ears. At the time of writing, new cliff paths were being cut down from the Martello Tower to the Cafe and back up from the Cafe to the cliff path. Once finished, these new cliff paths will save walking all the way back up the road.

No Access Issues

The routes on the promontories west of Saints Bay Harbour need a low spring tide to access with routes on the east side of Saints Bay itself being accessible from half tide onwards.
