Hill features

250m. On the summit is a small stone viewing tower with a spiral stairway. It is known as Tappie Tower and provides excellent views

Approach notes

Kirkhill forest car park is on the north side of the A96, between Dyce and Blackburn. The car park is at grid reference NJ 854 114.

Tyrebagger Hill lies within Kirkhill forest. The forest is operated by Forestry Commission Scotland. It is not to be confused with Tyrebagger forest on the south side of the dual carriageway

Kirkhill forest is popular with walkers, horse riders and cyclists. The working forest also includes a mountain bike fun park, and a permanent orienteering course.
