Crag features

## NEW CRAG - Please be aware loose rock is inevitable, take your time and check rock as you go.  New routes opened have been cleaned and loose rock removed on primary holds, but most areas are still not bombproof until further cleaning has happened. ##

High wall bouldering on natural sandstone in Woodfieldside next to the Sirhowy River.  Flat face climbing with numerous features, cracks, crimps and jugs.  Landings for the entire face are flat and pretty clear, however be aware the base of the crag is used as overspill car parking for people visiting the local rugby club.  Pick the right day and it will be empty, otherwise you may have a row of cars to contend with, nevertheless the parking never reaches the base so mats can still be placed for safety.

Approach notes

Head for Blackwood Rugby Club as the crag is just across the river opposite the club.

From the main road (A4048) come off the main roundbout in Woodfieldside and go right for Park Terrace.  Take the second left and folow Park Terrace onto Bridge Street where Bistro 8 will be on the right hand side.  Don't go over the narrow bridge, instead turn right and the crag will be on the right hand side. The upper and lower section have potential but needs serious cleaning for routes to be opened.  Follow the road up right and park at base of crag.
