Crag features

"Torre di Boccioleto", also known as "Torre delle Giavine", is a Gneiss tower about 100 metres tall. There are routes on every face of the tower, almost all recently bolted. This is one of the most representative climbing sites of the whole Valsesia.
For all the routes there is only one descent: From the top of the tower with 4 abseils on the south-east face, using the belays of the Normal route. It is possible with 60m ropes to abseil from the 2nd belay directly to the ground, with a 50/55 metres free hanging abseil.

Approach notes

Reach the town of Boccioleto, just after the town leave the main road, turn right and then, after 3 hairpin bends, go for a while until you reach a house (on the left) and a big boulder with antennas on its top (on the right). Park the car here.
Near the house starts the trail (number 145a) that in 40 minutes conduct to the tower.
