Crag features

From the main road R52 at Ulsåk, you can clearly see the Langesetfelt ice field which lies to the east of Hydnefossen. The field faces north at 1000m above sea level. This means there is plenty ice and can be climbed as early as October. This fantastic area gives varied climbing with 20-60m long routes. 

Approach notes

From Ulsåk, follow the main road R52 eastwards towards Gol. After 4.6km, turn right at the signpost towards Langeset waste depot. After 750m, the road splits - take the left and drive past the waste depot on your left. Pass through the toll station (50kr). Follow the road for 6km and park in the parking area by the tunnel entrance at the end of the road.

Follow the path from the northwest end of the carpark. A 15 minutes walk to the mid section. During the winter the road closes at the toll station. Long approach after snowfall when the road is closed.
