North Face of Engles' Beard © j616s

Crag features

This artificial boulder on the Salford University is in the shape of the beard of German philosopher Friedrich Engels who founded Marxist theory along with Karl Marx (Go look on wikipedia if you care...). The north face is comprised of a shallow slab in the shape of Engels' beard, noes, eye, and cheak. The east face has a relatively blank face along with an arret, corner, and easy descent. The south face has a steep section, again, with relatively few holds. The west face comprises mainly of beard with the lower right section formed more like rock. The boulder, despite first apperances, has varied holds and faces all over with pleanty of possibilities.
