Crag features

A hidden wall with an odd approach but offering some great routes on steep rock. The face is seamed with tufas pockets and diagonal breaks and has routes mainly in the mid-grades. A striking but as yet sparsely developed side wall know as the Wave is all covered in this section.

Approach notes

The parking for all the crags in this area is from a small side road off the SP16 which is difficult to spot. It is approximately 1.7km north of the roundabout in Castelluzzo and is a concrete track on the right, perpendicular to the road. If approaching from the north, then it is approximately 1km south of the southernmost turning towards Macari. The track heads straight towards the central point between Castelluzzo Outdoor Wall and Crown of Aragon and the characteristic face of The Wave should be visible up left. Drive up the track and curve around behind a small house to where the track becomes gravel and some narrow parking bays are located on the left. Leave room for other cars as best you can.

Cross the barbed wire fence and head left up the slope trying to find one of two vague paths leading up the hill. You are aiming north for a plateau behind a small hillock. Once on the plateau, go slightly right until a steep descent path is located. Go down this (cairns) almost to the bottom where the path heads sharply around right and up to the Outdoor Wall which has not been visible up to this point. The Wave is easier to find on the right as you descend.
