Crag features

A small roof located at the very eastern end of Guisborough Forest. It's probably only worth a visit if you happen to be in the local area. Bring a brush to dust the top off and expect some steep bouldering around the mid grades.

Update: Now getting plenty of sun since some tree felling (August 2016)

Approach notes

Take the turn off on the A171 half a mile west of the small village of Slapewath (or a mile east of Guisborough) and parking is behind the bus stop, don't block the road going left. Follow the rough track up past the farm and across the dismantled railway into the fields. At the junction with Old Park Farm, take the left fork going up into the woods where it turns into a concrete road. At the top of the hill head west on the Cleveland Way across a small ravine and about 150m after the second wooden gate, the buttress is down on your right. The walk in is about 25 minutes from the A171. Do not drive up as it is now no access to unauthorised vehicles.
