Climbs 8
Rocktype Sandstone (hard)
Altitude 148m a.s.l
Faces SE
A small but enjoyable crag, exellent for beginners as the routes are easy and good fun. Access is incredibly easy as the rock is just across the road from Mugdock East Car Park. The climbing is of good quality, albeit easy and has an easy descent route, the top of the crag has some bushes, making top outs... Interesting! There is a slightly overhanging wall (the main face) and a slabby wall too. Landings are great, with only grass below, although ferns etc. do grow after periods of disuse, but can be easily squashed down if needed (wear trousers for brambles...)
Access is extremly easy, head towards Mugdock Country Park and park in the East Car Park. Drive to Craigallian Road and it is on the left: https://goo.gl/maps/FKd7wbR1gpD2

Better than it looks, although the topouts are a bit grim. Very soft grading, but will settle I'm sure with traffic. Smelly Fox - 19/Jul/17 |
