The mountain of Pena Rueba lies opposite the Mallos de Riglos, and offer a similar style of mainly bolted multi-pitch climbing, although the routes tend to be more slabby in nature, and the rock more compact.
Traditionally was much quieter than Riglos, but this has changed with the appearance of many high quality, very well bolted routes by the 'Sendero Limite' and 'Sueno Vertical' teams. The easier routes in particular can get quite busy at weekends Routes are mainly in the Vs and 6s, and up to 450m in length.
The climbing sectors are: Mallo La Calva, Mallo Estrella, Mallo La Mora, Rueba Este.
Deccent can be made either via abseiling one of many routes, or via the Via Ferrata Sur, which is to the r of Mallo la Mora.
A dirt track leads from the northern end of Murillo de Gallego towards the crag. The car park is clearly marked.
Be careful, as the dirt track is rutted in places, and wouldn't be much fun after heavy rain.
There is seperate parking for Rueba Este, slightly further north of Murillo de Gallego, just off the A-132.
There are no comments from visitors to this crag. |
