Bovilla is around a 40 minute drive from Tirana, and most of the road is unpaved and fairly potholed. There are a number of small crags dotted about near Bovilla Lake. The Lakeside sector has a lovely view and has routes from 5a-6b+. A number of harder routes in a variety of styles, from tufas to technical pocketed face climbing, can be found at the other crags just around the corner.The topos can be found on 27 Crags, and some basic info can be found at: http://climbingalbania.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Bovilla-Topos_allr.pdf
Approach notes
Drive up the potholed road from Tirana until you reach Bovilla Lake. There is parking next to the lake. For the Lakeside sector, head straight up the hill opposite the parking. For Magic Candy Cave, Bar Barinjsh and Shark & Tufa sectors, walk back down the switchback and then turn right. Walk along the scree until you will reach the first crag.
Access Advice
No swimming in the reservoir, it is drinking water.
