Located 300m north of Torre Station in the town of Torquay are some quarried slabs in the woodland beneath the 13th century St. Michael's Chapel. The location is perfectly suited for beginners and groups thanks to the easy access, safe top-outs and slabby low-grade climbs.
Park on Barton Road, enter the woods via the footpath starting opposite the school playing field and turn left. Just before the chapel, drop down the slope on the right into the quarried bay.
Very overgrown and not worth going to unless you are going to be cleaning it up. You have to ab into the routes as the foot of the cliff is so overgrown and then the routes are loose and overgrown as well. March 2022.Â
