Rocky outcrops and buttresses high up on the North side of Longside Edge and Carl Side. Multiple 5-10 meter steps provide disjointed climbing on turf and rock. Esoteric, perhaps obscure and never a classic, but amidst Wainwright sampling, it can provide some fun climbing by dropping down the side from the path and then climb-find your way back up, adding or avoiding difficulties as you find them, though the latter would of course take away the purpose of it all.
Approach notes
Acessed by dropping down the North side of the ridge/edge between Ullock Pike and Skiddaw, around Longside Edge and Carl Side.
