Crag features

The Hammerkysten is composed of individual cliffs. From Hammerhavn

the terrain becomes relatively steep. From there it continues

on the same level to the Dværgklippen. This area will set boulderers’

hearts racing as there are any large and small blocks to be

found. Countless problems lay waiting to be discovered, worked

and sent. Perhaps in a later version of this guide more space will be

dedicated to bouldering.

The sectors Kongestolsområdet, Kælderbakken, Lindesdal and Ørnebjergkysten

belong to Hammerkysten climbing area owing to their

close proximity. Nevertheless each sector has its own character.

Approach notes

From Rønne take the 159 road towards Allinge. Three km before

Allinge the Slotslyngvej turns off left. Follow this, passing the

Hammershus castle ruin, until just beyond a small forest where

to the left a sign directs towards Hammerhavn. Take the Sænevej

to Hammerhavn, where there is a large car park with a snack bar,

washrooms and toilets.

Coordinates car park: N55.27964 E014.75547

Climbing is prohibited in some sectors of the Hammerkysten (Kælderbakken, Kongestolsområdet) during the breeding season for birds (March 15th- August 15th). Do not disturb the birds!
