The South Face of Skogshorn © Lee Harrison
The largest cliff in the Hemsedal vicinity with multi-pitch routes up to 470m. There's not so many documented ascents for a cliff of this size but apparently some ascents have gone undocumented.
The rock can sometimes be loose but tends to improve with height.
The cliff faces South so the best winter conditions are found during the early season. Full winter conditions can need patience as the face strips relatively quickly on clear days.
Park in one of the three parking spots described in the guidebook. Pay 40kr (cash) if using the private track that runs beneath the cliff.
