La Panxa del Bisbe is on the path that runs up from the Monastry towards Sant Jeroni (approx 45 mins from Monastry). also included are the nearby peaks

La Panxa del Bisbe can also be approached from the Funicular de Sant Joan by starting on the path to Sant Jeroni, taking right fork to traverse across to Sant Benet area, and then going left up the that runs up from the Monastry towards Sant Jeroni.

Parking is at the Monastery (cost Euro 6.50 in 2016).

There is a selection of multipitch climbs (typically 3 steep pitches followed 2 easy angle pitches to the top) and single pitch climbs.

Descent from top is by abseil (estimated 29m) to the saddle point to the East.

At Montserrat, protection varies particularly on multipitch climbs. Some climbs have modern bolts, whilst others have old bolts ("burils") and some climbs are not equipped at all. Distance between bolts varies by climb and by difficulty with easy sections generally being runout. Climbs with cracks often require trad gear such as cams to protect the crack sections. The faces are harder to protect with trad gear but sometimes offer pockets for cams and large pebbles for slings.
