Collias is a sleepy little French town about 15 k NE of Nimes. The climbing us in two areas. The main walls are situated to the SW of the town at the start of the Gorge du Gardon (a nice walk in itself) whilst sectors Roquette and Roquequette are to the East of the town. All within easy walking distance.
A wide spread of grades with many easy routes (though those nearest to the town can be VERY polished).
A great wee area! I bloody love the place.
For the main area park in the large parking area (place du marche) near the main river bridge. (Pay and Display from April to October.)
From the end of the parking area follow the path down the the riverbank and turn Right. Keep walking. Shortly after a gated cave the climbing areas start with Sector Shanghai. 10 mins from the parking. Sector Plagette is the, isolated, furthest sector; 30 mins.
For the Roquette and Roquequette sectors drive N towards Used for a few hundred m. There is free parking on the L just over the bridge over the tributary river Alzon. Cross the road and follow the track from the bridge alongside the river to meet the Gardon. The crags are obvious a few hundred metres on.
None.
