Crag features

Musfer sink hole is a 100m deep karst feature. The cave walls are composed of upper Damman dolomite and limestone. Downward percolating rain water dissolves carbonate rock to create the hollow of the sink hole. The caves are believed to have been formed in the mid-pleistocene (325,000-500,000 years ago) when the climate was much more humid. The rock is very soft and fragile.
The floor is soft sand and bouldering mats are often not used, although always recommended.
