Crag features
The Via Ferrata in Tière is 460 metres long, climbs the rocky wall at a 75 degree angle and straddles the waterfalls of the Tière river with footbridges three times over its course. The departure point is situated at the Sous-Scex Bridge, at an altitude of approximately 900 metres. The arrival point is situated at 1,126 metres.
A specially marked trail from Champéry and Val d'Illiez leads to the Via Ferrata and makes it easy to get to. Guided outings are organized in collaboration with the Champéry mountaineering guides.
Approach notes
Park in car park in centre of Champery, follow brown signs to Via Ferrata. About 30 mins walk in.
