A large magnesium limestone boulder set in woodland, at around 15 ft high with trees on top. Just been cleaned by Mark Bennett an Robert Oakton. Single pitch boulder problems, crash mat needed. Landings flat, good, depending which side you climb. Top outs can be on loose rock, you've been warned.. Grades from (font) 4+ / 7b location a secret till further notice. Please be patient. Thanks Rob, Mark.
Update from Tony Simpson 21-03-13
This boulder is good for anyone living in the local area but is not really significant on a national scale. * routes are of local importance only and none of the problems would get a start if looking on a national scale.
This boulder and the others in the surrounding area although are on open access land are situated next to a new development of luxury houses / appartments, the boulder it's self can be seen from the penthouse rooms and appartments and so all care should be taken when arriving at the area and also climbing on the rocks. Noise must be kept to a minimum and smallish groups only please, we do not want to draw unwanted attention to climbing in these areas. Also there has been a spate of tree felling and triming in the area, This can nolonger be tolerated and if you find any felled trees please drag them away to an area of woodland where they will not be noticed.
