Crag features

A delightful set of small crags scattered over a knoll overlooking the valley N of Moutiers. Two of the sectors (Coulee Noir and Les Oiseaux) have been added as separate crags on UKC are are not included here. There are 13 other sectors, however! Routes are predomininantly in the lower grades. Faces in all directions. There is a bouldering area to the N of the main crags
It is possible to camp in the meadow below Sector Dauphine and there is a small 'buvette' for snacks, drinks and ices (and camping fees)along with ample parking and a small toilet block and shower.
A perfect place for climbing with kids!

On sector L'Artif there is even an easy aid route for those that like that sort of thing - A0

There is/was a small local topo available at the Buvette but the crags have now been included in the new Tarentaise guide with some slight re-ordering but little change in grades.

Note 2015.  There has now been a further Tarentaise guide issued.  Between the three guides there has been some pretty dodgy spell-checking!  If your route doesn't show when you type it in try looking on the list in thre correct position and you shouild find it - albeit looking a little different.

Sector L'Ethique still being developed.  Looks like it might be quite hard :-)

Approach notes

Drive up the road from just N of Moutiers through Notre Dame du Pre village and keep heading up. 23 hairpins from the valley floor!
Ample parking / pic-nic tables below Sector Renard.
