Two nice little limestone crags in beautiful surroundings. Beruges 1 consists of one great buttress with some nice routes in the 7s, plus some scrappier easy routes. Beruges 2 is more recently developed and lies about 1 km away from the first crag, with mostly harder routes.
Loads of potential for bouldering (sort of like a much more extensive version of Anston Stones) in the valley with some great futuristic lines yet to be climbed. Steep, fingery climbing on pockets and edges is the order of the day. When it comes to boudering there is plenty to do across the whole grade spectrum. You'll need to turn up willing to thrash around in the woods a little, as the blocs aren't easily visible from the road.

The main buttress...sector Devers is superb. Best in the low to mid 7s with some great steep routes on great orange limestone. Super Nana and Salut l'Enfer definitely recommended. 1234None - 14/Aug/14 |
