Crag features

A neglected crag near the high point of the Arginonta - Vathy road, with a great sunny outlook. Unfortunately the routes are either hard and quite good or easy and a bit crap - hence the neglect. The hard routes get afternoon shade.

Approach notes

Head through Arginonta and turn right onto the road that runs to Vathy. Drive up here to the high point then continue down the other side for 600m to limited parking by a loose gully with a fixed rope. Scramble up the gully - right with the rope or left by the goat track - to reach the area under the cliff. Go right up the slope - a few cairns and vague paths - to your chosen climbs

Sector Julian: Rock appears OK bit with some spaced bolting on some routes which could feel run out if you weren’t feeling confident at the grade.

Not all climbs in this region are in the most recent (2010) edition of the Kalymnos Guidebook. However, regular route updates can be found on Climbkalymnos.com. The most recent update for this sector is Sept. 2013: http://climbkalymnos.com/wp-content/downloads/CK_2013_Sep_NewRouteList_reduced.pdf

Have to be honest and say this is a rather poor crag by Kalymnos standards. The routes are a bit too close together and there is a fair bit of dubious rock
