Crag features

The first of the major and popular venues that run in a continuous line along this section of coast. These walls lead up the hillside from the huge Grande Grotta and hold shade until quite late in the day, which ensures their popularity throughout the warm season. This, along with the numerous classic routes, mean that crowds are common and many of the better climbs are polished. Jurassic Park, being the longest walk, sees less traffic, but the routes tend to be quite hard. The other three sectors have a good grade spread with some popular easier routes on Afternoon.

Approach notes

Park by, or opposite, the Mermaid Statue, which is almost opposite the Hotel Philoxena. The track starts here and runs up to a gate, then a prominent olive tree, before heading out left and toiling up the scree path to the welcoming shade and huge jutting buttress just left of Grande Grotta. Scramble up leftwards from here to the various sectors.
