The north-western peak of Rysy at 2,499m is the highest point in Poland and is the most commonly sought of the mountain's three peaks. The mountain hut at Morskie Oko provides an ideal starting point for the ascent, which involves a little scrambling with some chains for assistance. The highest peak is the middle peak at 2,503m which is in Slovakia and can be quickly and easily reached from the 2,499m peak, and is a straightforward ascent from the Slovakian side. The south-eastern peak at 2,473m is less prominent.
