Kastelli is the prominent little peninsula, directly above the sea as you leave Masouri and head north. The ruins of a Byzantine castle, Kasteli, still stand at the top of the hill. The crag is on the northwest side of the hill, an extensive area of steep and compact slabs of sharp grey limestone. To the south is the small white chapel and a great spot for a post-climb rest or swim.
Park on the left just around Kastelli Bend - good views of Dolphin Bay and Emborios. Scramble to was Kastelli then bear right to locate the climbing.
Walking Time: 7-10mins
I wasn't too keen on the razor sharp chicken heads but each to their own. Steve Perry - 23/Sep/16 |
