Crag features

Presently at Solveggen there are 6 bolted routes, and one bolted project. These were put up in 2011. The crag has been in use since the late 1990's but was not properly developed until 2010 by Runar Carlsen and Stjørdal Klatreklubb.

The rock is still loose in places so wearing a helmet is advised and it is wise to take care with positioning of the belayer. Solveggen is a great alternative to Hell if you want to spend an afternoon in the sunshine.

The bouldering at Solveggen is found on a short wall next to the road with a small field in front offering a perfectly flat, grassy landing. Around 20 boulder problems have been recorded on the wall however many variations to these have also been climbed. Those listed here on UKC are presented in the mini-guide from Stjørdal Klatreklubb which is available here.

Approach notes

Park at the bus stop adjacent to the roadside crag.
