The crag is located in a wide gorge 10km up the road from the small town of St. Juan. It has a number of waterfalls and under the gaze of Ecuador´s highest peak - the extinct volcano Chimborazo.
There is a layby on the road above the crag. From here walk back down the road until you see a telegraph pole with Zona de Escalade painted on. Just after this turn right down a steep dusty track down the side of the crag. It takes you to the start of zone 1.
Note: the lay-bye has a largsgnpost on it, along with a shelter. The path starts about 200 yards down the road at a break in the barbed wire fence.
Some topos can be found at: http://monodedoecuador.com/topos-sanjuan-monodedo-adventures/ These are not the zones that are near the beginning of the path down.
