Crag features

The Hohenstein is the highest and most alpine natural rockface in Northern Germany. The rock, which is rather strange in places, is a mix of limestone and sandstone. The routes can be quite adventurous with long, exposed run-outs and some loose rock.

Restricted Access

There are restrictions in place for some routes during the period from October 1st until 15th March to protect the hibernation of bats.
