Over two hundred climbs. Many trad and mixed routes. Horrible carrots and scarey runouts. Home of the moderate climb and popular with beginers and people with shiney new gear that has only seen the inside of a climbing wall.
Most of the routes on Mt Keira are a mix of carrots or natural gear or both. If you intend to climb here then make sure you throw your bolt hangers and two or three (6?!?) smallish cams in the pack. Hot in the summer, great in the winter. Lost a bit of it's vogue in recent years but worth a trip. Has a cafe in the car park.
Mt Keira is 1hr south of sydney overlooking the city of Wollongong. Drive to the lookout from where the crags are minutes away.
