Crag features

The Teufelsstein, also known as the Königstein and Düwelsteen, is a glacial erratic of 180 tons. Although it consists of granite it is sometimes a bit crumbly. As most of the trees around the boulder have been removed it faces the sun all day long.

Approach notes

After crossing the Nord-Ostsee-Kanal just north of Kiel on the B76 head south on the K24. Turn right after 100m onto the K90 towards Altwittenbeck/Schinkel. After approx. 5km take the road on your right (K92) towards Schinkel. Just before Großkönigsförde turn right again towards Revensdorf. After 500m the boulder is on the left-hand side of the road. There is a public parking with enough space for several cars and bikes.
