Approach notes

Between Weston by Welland and Slawston, shortest walk-in in the U.K!

remembering this place from long hot summers at school and cycling down for bouldering in the mid 70's Brilliant

Both Sun Wall and Pipe Wall now updated and topos under the photos section. I've basically only attempted to grade the reasonably independent 'lines' on the best rock, but theres obviously loads more eliminates and on less good rock. Apologies to those whose additions I removed but I had to start somewhere- feel free to add additional lines!

Pipe Wall has been reorganised and given hopelessly innacurate font grades. If anyone vehemently disagrees leave a comment and I can fix it! Will be doing Sun Wall soon, topos also when I get the chance. In the meantime Leicestershire Climbs website is the place to go, but the grades on that are in British tech.

Really fun bit of climbing to be had. I took a few novices down (including my niece who is four) and we had a blast! Good bit of high up bouldering to be had too. My favorite bit however was the traverses. Just going along the entire pipe wall (excluding the bricked bit) is so much fun. Same with the sun wall. Well worth a visit!

It's January and the walls were both in near perfect condition. Excellent!

Fantastic, by far best crag in Leicester! Would really like to know if anyone has traversed the whole of the Sun Wall, including the left and right sectors. And what grade it comes out at!

Great place to train, quiet location with only some local traffic to watch out for. Fairly high top outs on dusty stone in some places. A great little costless training option

Snubbed by alot of people for obvious reasons, however Slawston has quite a variation of holds and is a fun place for a summer evenings climbing if you live local, just be carefull of passing traffic.

Great little training ground, closest thing to outdoor bouldering in Northamptonshire. Check out Leicestershire Climbs webpage for topo and routes....
