Rocktype Gritstone
Altitude 221m a.s.l

Crag features

The rocks are found in a tongue of woodland on the low ridge running on from the end of the private Lodge Barn Road. The rock is allegedly gritstone, but hidden in the trees, it tends to be green and often overgrown, with only a few worthwhile routes.

Approach notes

Walk down Lodge Barn Road for 300m until it ends at three gated private drives. A footpath on the left of the central drive leads on into the woods, following the right-hand side of a dry-stone wall. After 150m some rocks up on the ridge to the right give some bouldering. Continuing through the woods for about 300m (ignoring a stile on the left) to head to the overgrown buttresses.

Bin they today parking is as previous comment, it has all gone back to nature now way to overgrown

went there today - bottled out of the solo of the Jug Jam. But the apprach is easy, however you can not park as per the Roaches guide. You need to go up the hill, past Lodge Barn Road about 50m there is a side road where you can park.

just been to the erf rocks (back of roaches guide) just on from Knypersley rocks - in the guide it says climbing is tolerated landowner came out to us today and said they never gave permission for it to go in the guide- he said we'd be OK this once if you want to go there (its very green!) you need to ask for permission at the farmhouse

Nightmare to get to!!! the fields and paths are very overgrown and the main footpath is closed due to a collapsed bridge... will update soon if the bridge is fixed.
