Slab work, lose, poor protection
I have to disagree - the protection on half - mast is good, on the other two routes we climbed, it is adequate. The crag is well worth a visit, if only to climb Half-Mast.
October 2020 the descent to the right of the crag is now very unstable and unsafe. The best approach is to abseil in - 80m + rope needed.
We abseiled from the summit pyramid, 50m to the spike belay on the main slab, then 40m to the ground. A simpler approach might be a single rope length down Loxodograph (large crud-capstan belay) then around the nose of the main slab at most states of tide. alan moore - 12/Oct/21 |
