Crag features

Rockland is a 35m high cliff located above the beautiful and wild Pezonda fjord. Being a remote and more adventurous crag, the rock is still sometimes slightly prickly and crumbly but this should improve with more traffic.

Approach notes

Head through Arginonta and turn right onto the road that runs to Vathy. Drive up here to the high point and park where a rough track runs left to the hunters' shelter. Walk past the shelter and follow vague tracks due east to reach the top of the crag. At the far end, locate a fixed rope/abseil point to reach the crag base.

7/3/19 Red paint marks initially, then blue paint marks and cairns mark a really nice path gently down to the crag.

The fixed rope is in tatters. Its useless and unsafe! It needs to be replaced. Take a rope to abb down. Its a gentle easy abb with a short steep section near the bottom. There is a big blue arrow showing the spot.

Most bolts on routes we did were in a good condition with only slight rust noticaeable on some bolts.
