The east face of Sliabh Cairn is an enormous vegetated cliff which runs north, curves east and then back north again at a lower level. The crag is just before this last bend and is the clean-looking section visible from the south.
On the Ballyvaughan - Kinvara road turn right (inland) just before coming into Kinvara, towards Cappagh Mor. Go straight through crossroads take right road at Y-junction and continue on until you get to a large lay-by where you can park. Follow the path to Sliebh Cairn and come off the path where it tends to the left, continue to follow the stone wall north until the only obvious non-vegetated rock face comes into view. Go through some hazel woodland, up mossy rocks to base where large boulders are, pinnacle to the left.
