Crag features

A steep central wall flanked by lesser buttresses.

As with all Southern Sandstone, this crag is for top-roping and bouldering/soloing only. Bring long static slings as some toprope anchors are a way back from the edge. Make sure the set-up is arranged so that the karabiner is over the edge and no moving rope is in contact with the rock.

Approach notes

No reported access problems, although the crag is on private land. It has been known for cows to inhabit the field below the crag, so be aware of this.

The crag is reached by a footpath that heads off at a sharp bend in the road running east from the B2026 - there is one car parking space here (provided the car's not too big). There are verges a little further away down the hill that also suffice.

The crag starts about 300m down the path on the left.

Restricted Access

The crag is on private land and there have been access issues recently due to overcrowding and inconsiderate parking - please park responsibly and avoid parking on roadside verges, across gates or blocking narrow lanes.

Where are the English grades?

bring plenty of slings, the trees are far away. Be aware that during autumn leafes at the top hide gap, i had a scare yesteday when my feet sunk into a hole while approching the hedje of the climb to put the belay. Beautiful autumn view all around.Lots of cleaning seem to have be done and some new rocks exposed, a bit friable at start but some bouldering around.North east facing, lovely place to be. brixton Climber
