The biggest crag on Mount Desrt Island and arguably, the best crag in Maine. Immaculate rock with often unusual holds.
The south facing aspect can become a furnace in summer.
Grades are quite tough, as are all on MDI.
A climbers path leads into the woods half a mile south of the The main Precipce car park.
Descent path leads down the right hand side, including a flying Buttress of granite steps.
The peregrine ban is on the hikers Precipice Trail and does not effect the climbing area.
