Climbs 15
Rocktype Granite
Altitude 73m a.s.l
An old quarry. Was developed over 10 years ago (as of 2021) and no maintenance since then. All routes are either missing bolts or the bolts have been chopped or the remaining bolts are corroded badly. Therefore, can only recommend top-roping using tree or boulder anchors. Several areas can be climbed with mostly very poor rock quality so proceed with extreme caution, always wear a helmet and ensure belayer is standing well out of the way of the probably loose rock (Disclaimer: I have only top-rope soloed here). To my knowledge, it is the quickest travel natural rock area to reach from central Shanghai (but also the worst).
The quarry is located on the outskirts of Suzhou near Lianhuafeng. Walk up the hill from the track, to find the crag on the left.
