Hill features

The Totenkirchl belongs, along with the Predigstuhl and the Fleischbank, to the most popular destinations for rock climbers in the central Wilder Kaiser. In particular the Dülfer Route on the West Face is one of the biggest classics in the eastern Alps. Also popular are the shorter routes visible from the Stripsenjochhaus on the lower and upper buttresses of the North Face.

Approach notes

Approach from the Stripsenjochhaus hut.

Volunteer to moderate Totenkirchl
We rely on volunteers to moderate their local hills. You would check updates and approve scrambles/summits added to the database. It's a very easy job, and all you need is a guidebook and an hour or two each month. read more
