A small hill with a lovely open crag, which recieves a good deal of sun (when it's out) and dries quickly as it takes little or no drainage. An increasing number of climbs have been added recently by Dave Allen and Dave Moy, some of which are well worth a number of stars. Archimedes Flakes (S) and Achiles Chiel (VS) are particularly good. A nice range of difficulty is available and protection is good although not always obvious with cracks and pockets providing most of the placements. Routes vary between 20 and 35m in length.
This summit is listed in Marilyns hill lists.
This summit has been climbed in 8 logbooks.Parking is plentiful to the west of the crag, where the road turns north (if coming from the Inverness side). After parking, follow the road for around 50m to the north where a path branches off to the right over a ditch and towards the stand of trees on the hillside. Follow the path to a point on the far left of the crag and then follow the old line of fence stakes down below the crag. The first climb reached is Grey Slab Gully.
Approach time: 10-20mins
