Cleit Mhor and Cleit Bheag © RossJ
About 2km north of Dunbeath are three stacks marked on the OS Map as Cleit Mhor. The central stack, Cleit Bheag, is the most appealing.
Access for Cleit Mhor and Cleit Bheag is gained by abseil from the solid fence (no stake required). Cleit Mhor can be accessed by traversing around the south side at low tide. The return is a swim or a long wait. Cleit Bheag is a 30 to 50m swim depending on the state of the tide or use a boat. Access for Cleit Ruadh is by abseil or boat.
