Crag features

Near Pen Y Castell Iron Age Hill Fort.

Metal stakes have been driven in to the ground to top rope, there's about 5 or 6 climbs.

The heigh is around 7m but this is a guess.

Approach notes

Park in Rheidol Study Centre car park & walk back on the track you came. on the left there's a gate & diss-used track. Follow tack, pass bog pond on right & the crag is through the gate in front of you.

The crag is right on the Borth to Devils Bridge public footpath.

Defo worth a visit! But try not to park in the private car park, they don't like it!

went down today and we cleaned the crag a bit, got rid a lot of loose rock and some overgrown vegatation. We also recieved a not asking not to park in the car park. there is ampl parking in laybys at the top of the wood.

I've been parking in that car park for many years and never had any type of note....or person telling me i can't park there, even before the car park was tarmac! Even if parking were a problem.. there’s a few lay-bys’ near by. Considering the amount of climbing in the Aberystwyth area which is basically nothing, having this crag in local proximity is a lucky stroke. I've been using it for a long time & i will continue to use it. I’m really sorry you were disappointed with the location.

People, I really wouldn't bother going here. Totally not worth the fuel. You can't park in the study centre car park, I was left a note telling me it was private and should park elsewhere in future.
