Bouldering in Scotland (2008): The Cuca Boulder is Aviemore's local outdoor power boulder, only five minutes walk away from the town. At the south end of the village, park in a layby and walk up the road sign-posted to the youth hostel and church. Continue along the path leading to Craigllachie nature reserve on the right side of the hostel. Once through the pipe-bridge under the motorway follow the nature reserve path for 2 minutes until a large boulder on the left side of the path. From here, strike uphill towards the cliff. About 20 meters up the grass bank hides the Cuca boulder. The boulder was cleaned and developed by Andy Marshall and friends. Project link-ups can be combined at will for harder variations.
