Best to ignore the quarry and go straight to the buttress for some top quality routes - Chevin Buttress (VS), The Waster (E1) and Gronff (E2).
Tawny Owls nest on the main crag yearly. Avoid this area from mid March until the end of June.

Follow the path westwards from the East Chevin Car Park.

Update (05/05/10) - Tawny Owls are nesting on the ledge where Central Climb breaks out left. These are substantial birds capable of defending a nest site - please avoid routes on the main buttress until mid-June.
