βeta: There's a scarily loose flake about 25 metres up the first pitch. About 20 m up, after the big ribs / belly abs-shaped bulging cracked slab, you can stand on a nice grass ledge [potential belay here]. Above you'll see a groove with a crack in it going diagonally right up to the vertical vegetation, but if you look directly up about 5 metres, to the left of that crack, you'll see a flake the size of a steering wheel that looks like a jug and it's tempting to aim for it and think about putting a sling around it. Our advice: don't. Resist that temptation. It's loose and if goes it'll head straight towards your belayer. If you stick to that crack that's going diagonally right, or on the ground to the right of it, you'll be fine (good gear in the crack). | βeta? | |
